Tout d’abord, j’aimerais en savoir plus sur vous (âge, que faites-vous), combien de personnes habiteront l’appartement et pour combien de temps ? J’ai toujours loué mes propriétés via Booking.com car c’est une entreprise de profil. Faites-moi savoir si vous êtes intéressé, et je vous guiderai tout au long du processus de location.

P.S: J’espère que vous comprenez le texte, car il a été traduit sur Internet. Pour une meilleure communication, veuillez répondre en anglais, si possible. Nous sommes un couple espagnol, au fait 🙂

Many thanks for your reply as well as the detailed information.

Our plan is to rent the apartment for a minimum of three years.

To answer your questions:

1. I am ** years old and I am an (profession). My wife, who is going to live with me, is ** years old and a (profession).

2. We are both going to live in the apartment for a minimum of 3 years.

We do not quite understand the Booking.com part. What do you mean by you have always rented through that platform?

To be honest, we have been through many mishaps while searching for our home-to-be, and we are not ready to pay a rental deposit without visiting the apartment.

At this stage, we have these few questions:

1. When can we visit the apartment?

2. Why has the announcement disappeared from the “se loger” website?

3. Why is the caution fee higher than the rent?

4. When can the contract start?

5. Are we going to keep the furniture or is it going to be removed?

Hello again,

I received a very large number of people interested in this apartment and I asked the agency to deactivate it.
You seem like a lovely person, and I would be more than happy to have you as a tenant! 🙂

As I said in my previous email, we will use an authorized third party to mediate our transaction – Booking.com

– I activate the ad on booking.com and send you the link for the reservation.
– You will have to make the reservation only for one month. Booking will then send you the invoice and payment instructions for 1 month’s rent + security deposit which will be returned in full immediately at your request( that is a total of 1’525EUR )

The moment booking.com confirms receipt of your payment, I will book the first flight and meet you for inspection of the apartment.

After our meeting, if you decide to rent the apartment, we will go to a notary or a real estate agency and make the long-term rental contract, for any period you want, or for an unlimited period. The rental agreement is totally flexible, to adapt to the needs of both, so if you want to add something in the contract, or take something out of it, we can do it, I am a reasonable person, there is no need to worry about anything :). At this point, after all the legal documents are finalized, you will need to authorize Booking to release the funds to me.

If, after inspecting the apartment, you decide that you don’t want to rent it (for whatever reason), Booking will refund your money in full, since the cancellation policy is totally flexible. (In any case, I am more than sure that you will fall in love with the apartment 🙂 ).

Please keep in mind that this reservation on Booking is just a formality and a one-time transaction, and this is the only way that will convince me to come and meet you. Unfortunately, a previous « tenant » blew me up for nothing 3 weeks ago, and decided not to answer his phone when I arrived…

After the first month, the rest of the monthly payments will be sent directly to me. We will discuss the rest of the details in person, if you decide to rent it.

I hope you understand the steps of the transaction, you will NOT send the money to me, you will send it to Booking. I cannot access the funds without your authorization, so you are 100% protected. Your payment will be blocked in the custody of Booking, until you decide if you want to rent the apartment or not.
So basically, you have nothing to lose, and I’m pretty sure you’re serious about this, too.

If you agree with my terms and conditions, I will need the following information from you, so that I can activate the ad on this platform, and provide you with the link for the reservation:

1. Your desired move-in date, along with the period of stay.
2. Name and number of people who want to stay in the apartment
3. Mobile phone number
4. Copy of ID/Passport

After you send me the data I specified above, I will also send you a professional video with my apartment and documents, so you can see that I am a serious person.

Nous ne sommes pas allés au bout car, déjà, cette offre était trop belle pour être vrai. 800 euros toutes charges comprises, pour un appartement de deux chambres et deux salles de bains, meublé. En outre, l’insistance pour payer ce montant sur Booking avant de faire une première visite était simplement louche.
Nous n’avons donc payé aucune somme. Et, en menant une recherche sur Google aujourd’hui avec son nom et prénoms, nous sommes tombés sur une anarque similaire avec le même e-mail d’approche.

Voilà, faites attention à vous ; les « trop petites » prix peuvent parfois être des pièges. Faites toujours une recherche croisée sur Internet avant toute action.
